General Building
Conint’s strength in the industry stems from our many years of hands-on experience with traditional proven methods of general contracting. As a main contractor, we undertake the responsibilities to all facets of a construction project.
Usually, a main contractor will decide on the means and methods to be used in the construction execution of the project in accordance with agreed contract documents, like the budget, architecture, mechanical and electrical plans.
And we also undertake the responsibility of supplying material, labor, equipment and related services necessary for the construction of the project. We may subcontract part of the work to other persons and companies that specialize in these types of work.
Conint emphasizes the importance of work safety at all our construction sites. We recognise that an accident-free environment not only prevent delays and keep cost within budget, it will also improve staff morale and staff relationship, as well as enhancing the security of our workers’ family.
Conint is always embracing new and more productive methods and practices such as the use of precast and other buildable methods that help reduce the labour requirements on site.
Project Management
A building project is successful if it is completed on time, within budget and without sacrificing quality. This requires strong project management skills in order to handle a multitude of disciplines including planning, organizing, securing and managing resources.
Building project management can be broadly grouped into project planning, cost management, time management, quality management, contract administration, safety management, and professional practice.
A good building project management outcome should achieve two objectives:
- To prevent any disputes amongst project team members while achieving the three corner stones of cost, quality and time of project management.
- To be able to add value to the project by innovative- and creative-valued engineering processes to the proposed designs, construction work methods and materials selection.
Although intrinsic to our own General Building services, Conint does offer Project Management services to the traditional model of owner-designer-builder. Contracted by and acting on behalf of the owner, we provide advice to both designer and builder.
Project Management

Design & Build
Design & Build is a type of procurement method whereby the owner enters into a single contract with one entity. Conint can act as this single entity that will be responsible for the entire spectrum of the construction building process.
In Design & Build, it is common for the owner to articulate his requirements of his dream home to one or more pre-qualified contractors. Conint has her own pool of architectural and engineering consultants to propose an outline design and cost based on your requirements.
Upon award of the project, Conint will be fully responsible for the detailed architectural design, engineering aspects and full building works. As an anxious owner, you will only need to deal with Conint throughout.

Mechanical & Electrical Services
All building and construction projects cannot do without mechanical and electrical services (M&E). These are “behind-the-scene” activities that are barely noticeable, but yet crucial in the complete success of a project.
M&E services are aplenty and may include the installation, commissioning and maintenance of a myriad of disciplines, including:
- Air-conditioning, refrigeration, cold rooms, and ventilation systems
- Electrical wiring and electrical-based systems such as switch gears, transformers and generators
- Communication lines, telephones and IT networks
- Fire alarm, prevention, protection and security systems
- Lifts, escalators and travellators
- Water and gas pipes, sanitary works and plumbing fixtures
Conint service engineers work closely with other construction professionals: architects, structural engineers and quantity surveyors, traditionally influencing the architecture of the building. Of particular significance of late is the emerging areas of green technologies.

Adding to the final touches of a project requires the need for specialists in design and decorating. Often overlooked in the past, interior design and decoration has seen an increase in demand in recent years, due largely to rising affluence and changes in the way we live.
Interior design takes into account the architectural layout and functionality of the building or room. Factors to consider include the position, number and size of elements like doors and windows, ceiling height, electrical outlets, floor finishes, natural lighting and surrounding environment. It is concerned with achieving good ergonomics.
Interior decoration looks into the choice of colour palette to all aspects, the type and arrangement of furniture and related accessories. It is concerned with the aesthetic appeal of the overall space.

A varied choice of housing and business premises is complemented by recreational areas, comprehensive amenities and good transport system. Throw in the many green spaces and parks, and we are not too far from quality living as a way of life.
